3rd Regiment United States Colored Troops - August Member of the Month

The 3rd Regiment United States Colored Troops are dedicated to preserve the history of all the African-Americans who fought in the Civil War and those who supported them. The 3rd regiment travels to churches, schools, colleges, and other states to teach the history of African Americans that served in the Civil War. The regiment also marches in parades, performs color guard duties, speaks to visitors at museums, sets up exhibit tables at events and also gives presentations about the Civil War Navy. The 3rd Regiment United States Colored troops enjoys interacting with the public, performing battle reenactments and giving classes about the American Flags of the Civil War.

The 3rd Regiment United States Colored Troops are glad to be an organizational member of PhillyCam. We are happy to have our PSA shown to the public. We look forward to producing a series about African-American participation in the Civil War which will include Civil War music, military practices, military model figures, and more.

We thank PhillyCam for helping us get involved in television. PhillyCam is already helping the 3rd Regiment United States Colored Troops spread our message all over the world at a rapid pace and we also thank PhillyCam for selecting our organization as the member of the month too.
