Basic Field Production - Jan 29 to Mar 5 - 2013

Tuesday, March 5, 2013 - 5:48pm

PhillyCAM’s Intro to Digital Video Production is designed to help students gain a fundamental understanding of technical and creative aspects of video production. This hands-on course gives students an opportunity to become proficient at operating High-Definition Video (HDV) cameras, audio and lighting equipment, and basic non-linear video editing. Sessions are spent reviewing production procedures, equipment operation manuals, and other educational materials related to digital video production design and facilitation.

The Intro to Digital Video Production is a 6-week long workshop which will meet 1 evening per week from 6:30 pm -8:30 pm. By request, students are able to schedule additional time to practice editing during PhillyCAM’s daytime hours. Participants will work together as crew on a topic-driven project during the workshop and the opportunity to videotape PhillyCAM events to receive additional hands-on experience with the field equipment.

Upon satisfying all course certification requirements, members will have access to reserve and use PhillyCAM production equipment to shoot projects at PhillyCAM or on location.
