In the course you will be introduced to Adobe After Effects and the world of animation, effects and compositing. The six foundations of AE will be introduced which include concepts like layers, keyframes, rendering, and moving in 3D space.
The rest of the course expands on these ideas, and shows how to build compositions with layers, animate your composition with keyframes, add effects and transitions, and render and export the finished piece.
We will work through 2 real world examples of creating an animated lower third and animate a logo in 3D space.
Students should come with the goal of creating basic graphic elements for their show.
- Setting up the workspace, important preferences, and the cache
- Importing footage and compsCreating type, shape layers, and masks
- Timing animations to audio
- Building backgrounds with effects
- Rendering with the Render Queue and Adobe Media Encoder
