Intro to Final Cut Pro 7 - April 4 - May 9 - 2013

This workshop is geared to PhillyCAM members who wish to edit their projects for placement on PhillyCAM’s access channels.

This introduction to non-linear editing is designed to help members understand basic editing terms, concepts and tools in Final Cut Pro 7. This 6-session workshop meets 1 evening per week from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Participants are also required to fulfill editing lab hours in addition to regular course hours. Lab time is an opportunity for participants to receive technical support and practice editing with tutorial exercises provided during the course.

Requirements for Certification:

  1. Be able to demonstrate proficiency in completing any of the topics covered during the workshop.
  2. Complete the required lab time.- (4 hours minimum)
  3. Pass a workshop proficiency test by creating a short  1-2 minute edited video using the basic Final Cut Pro skills learned during the workshop
  4. Complete a short test.

On completion of the workshop, labs, and successful certification, participants will be able to signup and use Final Cut Pro in PhillyCAM’s Media Lab.

Prerequisite: You must be a current PhillyCAM member and have attended an orientation session to register.
