The Laundromat Project - Info Session @PhillyCAM

Thursday, March 8 at 6PM
Please RSVP at Eventbrite: Laundromat Project

The Laundromat Project, in collaboration with Leeway Foundation and a set of local partners, have announced a call for proposals from Philly artists of color interested in mounting a public art project in their neighborhood laundromat, barbershop, or similar public space. Successful applicants will be selected to participate in The LP's Create Change Public Artist Residency program and will receive $4000 to mount their public art project between May and October 2012.

Alongside the Create Change cohort based in NYC, Philly artists in residence will also attend a series of professional development workshops designed to help them deepen their approach to having a socially-engaged creative practice. The series provides access to information and resources from both the arts and social justice sectors. It also offers an opportunity for artists to expand their personal and professional networks. A travel stipend will be provided for each Philadelphia-based artist's transportation to New York.

The Create Change Public Artist Residence Info Session @PhillyCAM will take place on Thursday, March 8 at 6PM.
