Stephen Rucker - May Member of the Month

It’s an honor to be the first youth member of the month! Whenever I’m at PhillyCAM I know I’m going to have a great time through learning more about media and getting to know other youth like myself who want to use video and music as a way to express their inner most thoughts and feelings. 

I’m currently a high school senior and will begin my journey into adulthood knowing that I have a community of media makers at PhillyCAM who support me and want the very best for me. Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with my family, going to church and chilling with my friends. I really enjoy making beats and have gotten really good at using garageband. When I’m making media I feel as if I can do great things with my life.

Currently I’m collaborating with other youth members to make a song about the water issues that we face in the city of Philadelphia and abroad. I want to inspire other youth to make a change in their communities and PhillyCAM youth media programs is a great place to start!
