YesPhilly - August Member of the Month

YESPhilly is a nonprofit youth program that works with students ages 17 to 21 who have dropped out of school and want to get their GED, learn technology, go to college and express themselves through media arts. We are so happy to have a partnership with PhillyCAM.

Young adults who have not completed high school are often ignored and pushed aside. But PhillyCAM has opened its doors to our students for the past two years while society has continuously closed them. At PhillyCAM, our students enjoyed the opportunity to work in a personal yet professional media production space with state-of-the-art equipment. We extend a special thank you to Antoine Haywood, PhillyCAM's Outreach Director, for spending many hours teaching staff and student effective ways of navigating Final Cut Pro. As well as, helping YESPhilly students to express themselves and truly understand the power of their voice.
