Film Screening: Kids United Against Deportation

Kids United Against Deportation Free Screening Poster

NEW SANCTUARY MOVEMENT of Philadelphia in collaboration with PhillyCAM and AFRICOM, presents a film featuring testimonies from immigrant youth from Philadelphia, Honduras, Mexico, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Ghana. "Kids United Against Deportation" captures honest portrayals of deportation and its impacts through the voices of these young Philadelphia leaders. We invite you to support Philadelphia's immigrant youth by coming to the free screening of this powerful project, which represents months of collaborative work between New Sanctuary Movement, PhillyCAM, and AFRICOM!

In addition to "Kids United Against Deportation," we will screen a video made by local filmmaker Aidan Un on the historic March 12 City Council hearing on ICE holds as well as exhibit art pieces made by immigrant youth through New Sanctuary's New Leadership School. After the screening, there will be food and a panel discussion featuring immigrant youth and filmmakers Aidan Un, Carlos Pascual Sanchez, and Laura Deutch.
