Sharon Olds is one of contemporary poetry's leading voices. Winner of several prestigious awards, including the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award, Olds is known for writing intensely personal, emotionally scathing poetry which graphically depicts family life as well as global political events. Billy Collins has called her a "a poet of sex and the psyche," adding that "Sharon Olds is infamous for her subject matter alone...but her closer readers know her as poet of constant lilnguistic surprise."

A live poetry talk show and cover open mic, broadcast live at 6:30 on the first Tuesday of each month. It is a discussion/presentation on the life and work of the month’s featured (LOVED) poet followed by audience members reading their favorite poem by the featured poet, and one of their own poems.
