Candidate statement on how they would contribute to the board’s diversity.

Summer Hip-Hop camps and IMAX children’s movies are not the typical work product of a practicing attorney, but they are mine. A child of an African-American art historian and jazz drummer, I bring the perspective of both my diverse youth and professional experiences to PhillyCAM, a powerful community change agent. kaPow! Hip-hop speaks and Spring Garden Pictures are charities I created to help bring to life youth voices often marginalized. I have advised or served boards in four states that focus on literacy and critical thinking, charities such as Blues Babe Foundation, CORE Scholars, and PCCY.”
