PhillyCAM is Philadelphia’s community media center, where people of all backgrounds can create, learn, and share media that amplifies local voices. Whether you’re visiting for a workshop, production session, or community event, here’s everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and accessible experience.

Located in Center City, PhillyCAM is within walking distance of major landmarks like Independence Mall and Market Street

🚉Public Transit

SEPTA Market-Frankford Line: 8th Street Station (0.2 miles) is equipped with an elevator.

Broad Street Line: City Hall Station (0.5 miles)

Bus Routes: Multiple SEPTA bus routes stop nearby. Use the Transit app or SEPTA's Trip Planner for details.

🚗Parking

Accessible Parking: There are designated street parking spots available near the entrance on Ranstead St.

Nearby Garages: Public parking garages are located within two blocks, on Ranstead St. and 7th streets between Market St. and Chestnut St.

  • Parkway Parking - 655 Ranstead St.
  • Park America, Inc. - 615 Chestnut St. (entrance at 7th and Ranstead Streets)
  • 618 Market St. Parking Garage (entrance on 11 S. 7th Street)

  • Flexible Seating Arrangements: Space for mobility devices in event and screening areas.

What to Expect During Your Visit

🎥Workshops & Events: PhillyCAM hosts training sessions, screenings, and media events open to members and, on occasion, the public. Check our events calendar for upcoming programs.

📡Studio & Equipment Use: Members can book production spaces. If you need accommodations for a project, let us know in advance.

🌐Community Media Access: PhillyCAM broadcasts on local cable channels and online, offering a platform for underrepresented voices in Philadelphia.
