Arianne’s Candidate Statement
My daily work centers accessibility, cultural relevance, and community trust. I collaborate with grassroots organizations, migrant communities, and Spanish-speaking creators to ensure that information and media spaces are inclusive and truly reflective of our city’s realities. Through this work, I help expand participation among bilingual storytellers, women of color, and communities that have historically been underrepresented in media institutions, strengthening PhillyCAM’s mission from the ground up. I am committed to actively promoting and amplifying PhillyCAM’s work within my networks, encouraging deeper engagement with community media and creating pathways for leadership among creators who bring new languages, cultures, and neighborhood perspectives into the organization. I believe community media must be accessible, culturally grounded, and responsive to the people it serves. By serving on the board, I would help broaden PhillyCAM’s reach and deepen its connection to the diverse communities that rely on trusted media spaces to feel informed, empowered, and seen.
