PhillyCAM strives to serve all residents of the greater Philadelphia area who want to learn and make media in a collaborative environment. We provide transformative opportunities, and a safe space, for people to express themselves, to learn from each other, and to produce and share media reflective of experiences of everyday people.

As 2022 comes to a close, PhillyCAM staff curated this special collection of hyper local content that touches all the feels. These collected videos and podcasts, produced with our members and partners, are excellent examples of the transformative power of community media.

Show your support by watching, listening and sharing it with your networks. Subscribe to our Youtube channel. Make a year end contribution to PhillyCAM to support the creation of new works in 2023.

Divided Attention

Cradles to Crayons

Award winning journalist Ernest Owens speaks with community members about what they think of the upcoming elections as part of "What's At Stake" PhillyCAM’s special 2022 Election coverage.

Evolution of the Fight

Anchored by the themes explored in Louis Massiah’s A is for Anarchist, B is for Brown, this conversation amongst community organizers— whose work spans from the early 2000s to today— connects and reflects upon social justice movement-building over the past two decades. Presented as part of the Philadelphia Stories RETROSPECTIVE, a “look back” to the rich cultural stories that compose Philadelphia.

Chronicling Resistance

PhillyCAM’s youth producers worked closely with the Chronicling Resistance team to produce media content for this amazing exhibit of artist/activist research. Check out the show which is up at the Free Library until Jan 31.
