I joined PhillyCAM in 2021 and never looked back!

There is such an abundance of resources for people like me who are just getting started in public media. You know when you want to rigorously and excellently pursue a hobby? I’ve been able to do that here.

I appreciate that PhillyCAM has teachers and workshops that teach you how to really be a producer and filmmaker, from using industry standard equipment to having peers engage with each others’ ideas. I’ve received so much support in making my first web series called Reparation Station.

Reparation Station is a dance-talk-variety show sharing stories of repair from Black artists here in Philly that premieres in April 2025. I’ve been a dance artist and educator for 20 years, and now a budding producer and filmmaker. It has meant so much to be able to practice new parts of my artistry here.
