Graditude & love to Nasha Taylor!

Nasha joined our team in 2019 to become our first Community Engagement Director. With her years of experience in the digital inclusion space she guided us to build our relationships with members and partners in a deeper way. It wasn’t about clicks, eyeballs and transactions but about nurturing mutually beneficial connections. Her thoughtfulness and empathy guided how PhillyCAM adapted to life during the pandemic. She pushed us to center community care to recognize how fundamental it is to how we do this work together. This focus led to the first edition of our People Power Media Fest in 2020 and the festival continues to grow now heading into its 4th year.

PhillyCAM will forever be transformed thanks to Nasha’s contributions. In thinking about writing a recognition for Nasha, this quote from bell hooks came to mind  – “One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities of resistance, places where we know we are not alone.”

Nasha will always remain part of the PhillyCAM Fam. We wish Nasha buckets of happiness as she charts her course for new adventures. Her last day is Friday, May 19th.

Stay tuned to our socials for details on the plans to celebrate all that Nasha has contributed to PhillyCAM and send her off with a full heart!

We love you, Nasha!
