January Member of the Month, Kevin White

My journey at WPPM started over 2 years ago because of Tim Marshall, and his offer to be a co host on his long established show “The R&B Showcase”.

I became an official member of WPPM in May ‘23.  Since then I’ve completed radio board operator and television studio training.

A highlight of my time @ WPPM would be last year's fund drive marathon. On the Sunday of the drive, I took part in a broadcast that began at 11 am and continued until 10 pm.  Besides being a part of “My Bittersweet Philosophy” and an extended “R&B Showcase”, I also took part in a" vinyl-only" New Wave special with other WPPM producers as well as Program Director Allison Durham.  What started as a simple idea grew into something that will hopefully continue into the future!  I’ve also been honored to have been offered the opportunity to participate on The Programming Committee for the past year, and as such, been a part of getting more great homegrown programming on the air!

In October, I became the host of "The Crossover" from 5-6 pm on Sunday afternoons.  The goal of the show is to be the bridge between my co-hosts, Julian Seward and Tim Marshall, shows "My Bittersweet Philosophy" and "R&B Showcase" which air from 3-5 PM and 6-8PM, respectively.
