November Member of the Month, Shanaya Wyche

Shanayah Wyche is a multimedia community journalist and organizer who has prioritized working with education and service-based organizations for the past 8 years. Through her career, she has produced numerous documentaries, podcasts, and news segments across programs like PhillyCAM and WhatsPoppyn. She has also published articles for Philly We Rise, Technical.ly, and Resolve Philly.

Shanayah has donned PhillyCAM as her media haven since joining as a youth member in 2017, where she along with a group of other students produced a short audio piece on the gun prevention movement, March for our Lives.

Now as a PhillyCAM veteran, Shanayah hopes to continue to expand her portfolio and skillset that could launch her into media production entrepreneurship.

Currently, Shanayah is apart of the PhillyCAM Voices newsroom and this past Spring 2024 was apart of the fourth WPPM Block by Block cohort.
