Dear PhillyCAM Community,

Following the school closing of the Philadelphia School District and in an effort to limit the pathways for disease transmission in our community, we have made the decision to close our community media center to the public starting on Monday, March 16th through Sunday, March 29th.  We will be operating with modified hours of operation for staff. All existing equipment/studio reservations, workshops, and gatherings are postponed until further notice.

We will be sharing PhillyCAM program updates on our website throughout the coming weeks, so please continually monitor www.phillycam.org or connect with us on social media. For information not available on the website, please email info@phillycam.org. Responses may be delayed but we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

Later this month, it is our intention to hold a Virtual Annual Member Meeting to connect with our community even if it’s remotely.  We will also continue to look for ways to uplift local perspectives and empower local producers to share their stories during this difficult time. We want to use our platforms to distribute important information and facilitate connection to combat anxiety. If you have ideas let us know by sending an email or posting to the members-only Facebook group.

We strongly encourage you to opt-in to receiving emergency messages regarding any potential City closures by visiting the City’s site dedicated to the COVID-19 outbreak, phila.gov/covid-19 and opting into text messages by texting COVIDPHL to 888-777.

Be well. Keep Connected.
