Basic Field Production

PhillyCAM’s Basic Field Production (BFP) class is designed to help students gain a fundamental understanding of technical and creative aspects of video production. 

This class will teach the basic operation of the Sony PXW field camera, lighting, and microphones. Students will learn how to set up their shots, properly mic subjects and prepare for their production shoot.

Upon satisfying all course certification requirements, members will have access to reserve and use PhillyCAM production equipment to shoot projects - at PhillyCAM or on location -  that will broadcast on PhillyCAM's media platforms.

Prerequisite: To register for the workshop, you must be a current PhillyCAM member and have attended a Television and Video Orientation or TV Community Media Workshop.

Fee: $75

Pay online or in-person with a credit or debit card. You will need to register in-person if you are paying by cash, check or money order.

No Refunds will be given for cancellations made later than 5 business days prior to the start date of the workshop. 

This class cannot be taken with another core class EXCEPT for Production Planning
