Welcome to the Team
We are happy to announce the addition of two new part-time staff members, Gabrielle "Gabe" Castro and Tyreece Powell-Dunbar.
In the newly created position of Access Facilitator, they will provide support for members during the equipment check-out/check-in process, help in the media lab, provide technical recommendations, assist members in preparing and submitting their shows for cablecasting. They are here to provide support and a smile or two when you need one.
Gabrielle "Gabe" Castro, is a Temple graduate with a B.A. in Media Studies and Production. She has worked with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and on several other projects such as Bail Out, a Web Series she helped produce.
Film and media are her first loves but she also an avid photographer. A former PhillyCAM intern, Gabe is excited to be an official member of the team.
Tyreece Powell-Dunbar, is a native Philadelphian. He received his B.S in Mass Communications from Lincoln University where he also served as general manager of the university’s television station. Tyreece also received an outstanding digital media award from the mass communications department at Lincoln. In addition to his position as a PhillyCAM Access Facilitator, he is also a Media instructor at WHYY.
