Our Tech Lounge Can Be...

We would like to invite YOU to HELP IMAGINE, DESIGN AND BUILD A NEW TECH LOUNGE at PhillyCAM.

We've began to gather feedback in preparation for the development of a new education and youth space on our expanded second floor. If you haven't been able to see the space yet, we are offering a series of 2 Open House Media Mixers on Tuesdays Oct 14 and Nov 11 from 4-6pm. This will be an opportunity to experience pop up programming and share your ideas about how YOU would like to participate and what you would like to CREATE in the space. This is FREE and open to all students and adults to stop by.

Please come by and say hello! Bring your friends and students along.

Next Steps

After these open houses we plan to form a team to participate in a series of more focused conversations to develop a plan for the design and programming for 2015.  The team will be made up of a diverse group of potential users, community partners, youth participants, alum, board members, PhillyCAM staff, parents, and teachers.

The process is being led by The Department of Making and Doing  (http://dmdphilly.org/). It will be a very hands-on, fun approach to building creative learning spaces.

We are planning to meet with participants once a week for about 2 months (or 8 sessions) between November-December.

We greatly value your ideas and participation as part of the team to help guide and support this exciting new initiative.
