SQUIRREL HILL FALLS weaves fantasy and true-life to tell the tale of a magical,
abandoned park, uncared for by humans for 30 years because of legal stalemates and a burnt-out community group. The film is located in West Philadelphia, a neighborhood with a range of races, ethnicities, religions, incomes and politics. However, property taxes and rent continue to increase, changing the multi-cultural fabric of the neighborhood. In
2016, SBG Management, a company buying up properties in the area, purchased the park’s land and adjoing apartment building.
