Hi, my name is Bryn! I’m a 21 year old film and visual studies student, and community media is important to me because I care about everyone’s right to see their interests, identities and experiences reflected on their TV screens. It is such an important communication tool. I am inspired by women and people of color creating meaningful, amazing, entertaining content. I have also been very inspired by the power of social media to critique poor representations of Asian Americans and other minorities in mainstream media. I personally would like to be more proactive in making content that matters to me, and I would also like to see my community making more efforts to understand people of different backgrounds. When I am not binging on a TV show, you can catch me playing rugby or cooking vegan food.
