Focused Flicks Fellowship 

 

Fellowship Description

Are you interested in learning the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking to share stories that matter most to you? PhillyCAM's Focused Flicks Fellowship consists of an intensive 8 week-long series of workshops and hands-on media instruction were participants gain experience in Producing and Directing, Camera and Lighting, Production Sound, and Editing.

Learn to make and share media that promotes creative expression, democratic values, and civic participation! Fellows will receive a stipend during and upon completion of the program.

Ages 14 - 21
Program Date: 
June 25-August 17 | Monday-Wednesday: 11am-6pm

Fellows Will

  • Participate in an eight week-long-series of advanced video production and post-production skills workshops.
  • Create 3 short documentaries to be aired on PhillyCAM channels.
  • Collaborate with other talented youth on creative works.
  • Gain advanced production and journalism skills.
  • Receive fellowship stipend.
  • Present their fellowship experience at a culminating event, date to be determined.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must be between the ages of 14 - 21 and reside in the city of Philadelphia. Applicants must be able to commit to all program components and dates.

Candidates must be a current youth member at PhillyCAM and have contributed media within the last six months.
