Calling all supporters of PEG TV and PhillyCAM!

Join us for a City Council Lobby Day on Thu 10/26 from 11:30 - 1:00pm.

Tell City Council about the impact PEG channels, like PhillyCAM, have on shifting the narrative in the local media landscape by contributing to more diversity and stories told by and for everyday people. Share your own personal story about what PhillyCAM means to you and your community!

Why now?  Because the City is negotiating a new cable franchise deal with Verizon.  This has a direct impact on the PEG channels and PhillyCAM's funding!

Represent! Wear your PhillyCAM swag - t-shirts, beanies, hoodies, lapel pins, whatever you might have. We'll have swag if you don't have any!

PHILLYCAM LOBBY DAY INFO & SCHEDULE:

WHEN:  11:00am - 1:00pm (or as long as you can stay)

WHERE: City Hall, City Council Chambers, located on the 4th floor, Room 400

HOW TO GET INTO CITY HALL:  You must bring a photo ID! To enter City Hall you will go through a security check.

There are 2 entrances – Northeast corner of City Hall the other is Jury Duty entrance off of Dilworth Plaza on the West side of City Hall.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

10:15 - 10:45am   Council starts once they get a quorum, nine members present, they will begin. The order of business for the Council session. 
 

11:30-12:30pm  All Lobby Day folks meet outside of City Council Chambers and go in to hear the public comments which will likely go until 12:30. 
 

12:30 - 1:15pm   Break into smaller groups to visit specific Council offices. See Advocacy Packet for suggestions on what to do when you arrive in a Council office.
