Member Orientation

Getting Started At PhillyCAM

 Attend a Free Virtual Member TV or Radio Orientation Session

These free sessions offer in-depth information to members on how to become involved with PhillyCAM TV and radio station WPPM 106.5 FM. If you plan to take classes and submit programming to PhillyCAM TV and WPPM 106.5 FM, these sessions are required.

TV Orientation

Attending Virtually, a Zoom link will be emailed to participants before the start time.

The TV Orientation is for new members and prepares them to submit programming to PhillyCAM TV. The workshop is for members with content ready to submit, those with the tools to produce content at home, and those interested in taking our workshops to access our equipment and software.

Radio Orientation

The Radio Orientation is for members who want to submit a radio show application and learn how to get involved with 106.5 FM at PhillyCAM.

Our Radio Orientation will explain what it means to be a WPPM programmer at PhillyCAM, what listeners can find on our current schedule and what programming we seek, how members interested in radio can collaborate with other producers, how to complete WPPM's Radio Application correctly, and how members can submit radio specials (without applying for a slot on the schedule).

We will discuss the spirit of community radio, the history of LPFM, and how WPPM-LP came to be. We will also discuss how program ideas can be developed while following PhillyCAM's Mission and WPPM's Guiding Principles.

This workshop is for new producers creating radio content from home.
