About the Fellowship
René Smith Fellowship isn't just a program; it's a platform for budding media creators to craft compelling narratives and champion causes close to their hearts. In honor of René Smith's 20-year commitment to supporting emerging voices in independent media as Board Chair of Independence Public Media, PhillyCAM offers a Youth Media Summer Fellowship over three years.
Crafting Community Media
At the heart of the fellowship lies the power of community media. Through video production, graphic design, and social media strategy, fellows will collaborate to produce captivating content that reflects the voices and aspirations of Philadelphia's vibrant youth community.

Program Highlights:
- Dates: June 24 - August 16, 2024 (8 weeks of transformative experiences!)
- Meeting Days: Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Meeting Times: 11 am to 3 pm
- Weekly Commitment: Dive in for 12 enriching hours each week!
