Tell City Gov What Your Think About Verizon. Show Support for PhillyCAM

PhillyCAM's primary source of funding comes from the franchise agreements that the City of Philadelphia enter into with the big cable providers, Comcast and Verizon. These franchise agreements are renegotiated every 10 - 15 years.  Soon the City of Philadelphia will begin negotiations with Verizon to renew its cable television franchise. As part of the franchise renewal process, the City will conduct a community needs ascertainment. A portion of this discovery reviews and analyzes the Cable Television and Broadband Internet needs and interests of all Philadelphians. Your input in this process is critical in helping the City determine residents' current and future needs and interests.

This is an opportunity to the City how important it is to have adequate support for PhillyCAM and the PEG channels like the government channel and the School District of Philadelphia's channel. Please use the survey as an opportunity to communicate that you watch these channels and that they are important.  And if you have issues with Verizon signal quality, customer service, cost of have they just not shown up in your neighborhood yet, fill out the survey!
