Latin Waves was started as a resource to educate the public about the extraordinary changes and social movements that are happening in Latin America. There is a literal blackout in the Canadian mainstream media around these historic changes. Our original mandate to cover Latin America still stands but we have expanded our coverage into local/national and international issues making those critical political connections, we bring our listeners in-depth coverage of issues with a focus on the history of an issue and what that history means for us today and most importantly what we can do to move society forward in a healthy way.
