The Edison 64 explores the impact of deindustrialization on North Philadelphia, race relations and civil unrest in Philadelphia in the 1960s; gang and early obstacles that many of the students endured throughout their youth and time spent at Thomas Edison High School; their military service and subsequent deaths; the aftermath of their deaths on their families, communities, friends, and service members that they fought alongside with in Vietnam; long-term collateral damage to the aforementioned groups; and their enduring legacy.
